Daily Practice

A simple rhythm inspired by the Art and the Way

Here is a basic daily rhythm.
It’s designed to help you step out of the noise of the day and become more aware of:

  • your inner landscape
  • the subtle presence of the Divine
  • the sense of connection that sits underneath everything

Each practice takes around five minutes.
Short enough to do every day.
Deep enough to matter.

1. Morning Presence

Sit somewhere quiet.
Let your breathing settle into its natural rhythm.

Notice:

  • the space around you
  • the space within you
  • the way your breath moves through both

Then quietly acknowledge:

“The Divine is with and within me.
The Divine is all around me.
Let I live in within this awareness today.”

Sit with that for a few more breaths.
Don’t try to feel anything special.
Just let yourself settle into the quiet fact that you exist within the Divine, and the Divine exists within you.

2. Midday Awareness

Step away from whatever you’re doing.
Stand or sit.

Breathe slowly.

Bring your attention to:

  • the ground beneath your feet
  • the air moving around you
  • the sense of life happening everywhere

Then say inwardly:

“I pause to notice the world
and the Presence that holds it.”

Spend the remaining minutes observing:
light, movement, sound, silence — whatever is there.

This is not meditation.
It’s simply noticing the Divine woven through the ordinary.

3.Evening Attunement

As the day softens, step into a quieter space.

Close your eyes.
Take a slow breath and let it fall away.

Feel the shift of the evening —
the thinning of the day’s energy,
the gentle settling of the world around you.

Let yourself sense the Presence that holds both day and dusk —
not as a thought,
but as the texture of the space around you.

Breathe with it.
Let the boundary between you and that Presence grow thin.

Rest in that shared quiet for the remaining minutes.
Let evening and Presence meet in silence.

4. Before Sleep – Returning to the Presence

Lie down.
Place one hand on your chest or belly.

Let your breath become slow and easy.

Feel your body.
Feel the weight of it.
Feel the calm rising as the day fades.

Then say inwardly:

“I rest in the Presence that holds me.
I rest in the Presence that moves through me.

I give thanks for all this day has brought me.”

Spend the last minutes simply lying there, aware of:

  • your breath
  • the quietness inside
  • the sense of being held by something larger than yourself

Let sleep come naturally.
