A Celtic Night Prayer with Intercession

Circle me, Lord, with the warmth of Your peace.
Wrap me in the hush of this night.
Shelter my soul in Your stillness —
As the stars sing Your name in the dark.

I lift to You now those I love:
Let Your blessing be over them like dew,
Your light a flame on their hearth,
Your mercy the cloak around their sleep.

Guard their minds from sorrow,
Guard their hearts from fear,
Guide their steps through shadow
And whisper Your nearness in dreams.

And Lord of the broken world —
Healer of the hurting earth —
I lift to You the suffering places:
The war-wounded, the weary, the wandering.
Let peace come where violence reigns,
Let bread be shared where hunger gnaws,
Let kindness rise where cruelty has grown old.

May Your Spirit blow through governments and gutters alike.
May Your justice roll like a mighty river.
May Your Kingdom come — even now, even here.

Christ above me, Christ below me,
Christ behind me, Christ before me,
Christ within me, Christ without me —
In my breath, in my rest, in my rising.

Into Your hands I lay this day’s weight.
Into Your hands I place my longings.
Into Your hands I give my becoming.

Be my peace, my fire, my guide, my home.

In the name of the Father who holds time,
The Son who redeems it,
And the Spirit who fills it with song.

Amen.
